REMINDER: Big Ideas Quiz is scheduled Thursday, May 18.
Big Ideas Questions:
- Discuss the primary motivations for the exploration, colonization and settlement of North America. Consider the push and pull factors.
- Discuss the factors contributing to the growing conflict between the European colonizing nations of France & England in North America.
- Who were the Jesuits and what was their purpose in New France? Discuss the impact of their mission to the Huron nation.
- Describe frontier life in New France. Consider the circumstances of the early fur traders, and the habitants of the St. Lawrence Valley and Acadia.
- What were the circumstances surrounding the expulsion of the Acadians by the British?
