  1. Describe the agricultural changes that occurred in England during the Industrial Revolution and say HOW these changes: a) forced the migration of people, and b) supported industrialization.
  2. Describe Laissez-Faire Economics. How was this economic system different from a centrally controlled economy and how did it support an industrially-based economy?
  3. Discuss how innovations in steam-technology revolutionized transportation and manufacturing. Give examples to support your explanation.
  4. Compare and contrast two systems of manufacturing during the Industrial Revolution: traditional Cottage Industry vs. Factory Assembly Line. What were the advantages and disadvantages of each? What does the law of supply and demand say about: a) wages & workers? and b) price & quantity of goods produced?
  5. Industrialization brought about tremendous changes in society. Discuss these changes with respect to a) social classes, b) living & working conditions, c) new laws & labour movements, and d) women.
