- Discuss the KEY INGREDIENTS for industrialization. Why did this occur first in Britain? (5 marks)
- Describe the agricultural changes that occurred in England during the Industrial Revolution and say HOW these changes: a) changed the nature of food production, b) forced the migration of people, and c) supported industrialization. (5 marks)
- Describe Laissez-Faire Economics. How was this new economic system different from a centrally controlled economy AND how did it support new business ventures and industries? (5 marks)
- Compare and contrast two systems of manufacturing during the Industrial Revolution: traditional Cottage Industry vs. Factory Assembly Line. What were the advantages and disadvantages of each? What does the law of supply and demand say about: a) wages & workers? and b) price & quantity of goods produced? (5 marks)
- Identify some of the KEY inventions that contributed to industrialization. Discuss how these helped to revolutionize a) industry, b) agriculture and c) transportation. (5 marks)
