Rationale |
Mathematics curriculum aims to ensure that students are numerate and embody mathematical habits of mind. It is organized around Core Competencies: Communication, Thinking & Personal/Social. It develops skills and processes citizens can use to critically analyze information encountered at work, in finances, and in daily life, while providing the fundamentals on which mathematical specialties and professional applications of mathematics are built.The Mathematics program of study is designed to develop deep mathematical understanding and fluency, logical reasoning, analytical thought, and creative thinking. |
